Yet the War is Not Over Yet
By S.M.A. Faiz*
In a city turned into graves
Everywhere are lying dead
So many mothers’ faves
Others are still battling with bloodshed
With a mix of courage and dread.
From Gaza to Jabalia and everywhere
Lying dead are also the little waifs
And nowhere is a healthcare
Spared by the bombs and strafes.
Yet the war is not over yet
And the world is yet to bring to terms
And a brave new world is under threat
Of hugely losing its charms.
Oh the World oh the UN oh the OIC!
Please don’t be addled don’t feel at sea;
Don’t be left out in the cold
But be bright and bold.
